OK, I’m not much of a soap-follower – it involves getting involved, if you know what I mean. But at the moment I’m getting pretty caught up with the ongoing love story between Molly and Roast Beef in the online comic strip Achewood, a favourite of mine for a long time.
Here’s a run-down of their relationship so far…
- They met in Heaven…
- …where Beef asked Molly out.
- After Beef returned to Earth, Molly sent him gifts.
- Beef returned to the afterlife to find Molly gone…
- …but he found her, and they moved in together. They don’t always agree on fashion…
- …but they always had fun at Ray’s parties,…
- …and together at home.
- But Molly wanted more…
- …which caused tension.
- Beef was never good with the lady stuff…
- …but he gave her some good advice,…
- …and he sought some of his own.
- But Molly was impatient…
- …and she moved out, and in with Ray’s old girlfriend.
- Beef went back to his old ways,…
- …although his friends were there to help,…
- …but Beef is getting itchy!
- Beef’s blog tells a sad story…
- …but Molly’s is even sadder – she’s not happy living with Tina and her stupid Atkin’s bullshit, and she misses Beef.
What will happen? One thing that must happen is that I remember that this is a CARTOON, and that it is NOT REAL. Other than that, I hope there’s a happy ending.
