Remembered Our Talk

This post is part of the Notes from the Dog Walker series.

Gordon tried barking at me in the car again, but he quickly remembered our talk and stopped. We hiked in Diamond Canyon, which Gordon greatly enjoyed; he’s allowed to bark in the park.

Sir Barksalot

Sir Barksalot tried mouthing off in the car today, so I scruffed him and put him on his side. He complained at first, but then relaxed and didn’t bark much the rest of the day, which made for a wonderful hike in Leona ๐Ÿ™‚

Early Notes from ‘They Came From Woking’

In ages past, I was in a play. Here are some old notes about it.

This is a page for recording ideas about Kristen McGorry’s script for a comedy play based around HG Wells’s book ‘The War of the Worlds’ and the Jeff Wayne 1978 rock opera album based upon it.

  • Have a character called Nathaniel so someone can shout out, “NATHANIEL!”
  • Set in Woking / Byfleet etc
  • Use the phrase, “The chances of anything….. are a million to one”
  • Use flare sound from first track, where Burton is describing the flares coming from Mars
  • Ominous unscrewing sound – someone opening a jar? Possibly a burglar? Tense scene.
  • Smoking the Red Weed?

Opening scene:

  1. Darkness
  2. Voiceover – hero quoting first lines from album, “Noone would have ever believed ….” through to “…they drew their plans against us”
  3. Music starts as in album
  4. lights up simultaneously, revealing character on stage in tin foil outfit on roof watching the skies
  5. possible dance routine, like ‘Thriller’?
  6. interrupted by Mum?

He Bossed Around

This post is part of the Notes from the Dog Walker series.

Gordon was bossy in Diamond Canyon today. He bossed around some dogs, 2 bikers, a woman and her dogs, and as usual, me. Despite all the barking (or not) he had a blast!

Saw It All Go Down

Gordon had fun in Chabot today. He barked at some guy who got a little scared, but then acted like he wasn’t. I saw it all go down, amazing ๐Ÿ™‚

Practice In Front Of The Mirror

This post is part of the Notes from the Dog Walker series.

Gordon had a nice hike in Redwood today. We met a Greyhound Gordon didn’t like. Gordon barked threateningly, but not threatening enough. Maybe he could practice in front of a mirror?

Sheer Size

Gordon and his pals enjoyed a sunny hike in Chabot. We met a Malamute, who Gordon barked at. Maybe it was the light blue eyes, or the leash, but probably just its sheer size. Big boy.

Peed On Everything

This post is part of the Notes from the Dog Walker series.

Gordon was very highly strung in the car today, but great on our hike. We went to Diamond Canyon, he peed on everything.

Something Changed

Very high strung again today, only in the car though. He barked the entire ride to the park, which is not like him. Has something changed in the life of Gordon?

Went To The Spa

This post is part of the Notes from the Dog Walker series.

Gordon did well today on our chilly hike in Leona Canyon. He wasn’t quite as frantic and barky today, so I’m guessing he went to the spa for a full work up ๐Ÿ™‚
